The Spectacular Now is a novel by Tim Tharp. The book will soon be produced by Shawn Levy. What made the romantic comedy something to be excited about is, the screenplay will be written by Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, the duo who wrote (500) Days of Summer (2009).

Will Gluck will produce a remake of the 1986 romantic comedy, About Last Night. He will be helping the recruitment of director and writer for this project. The upcoming movie will be produced by Olive Bridge Productions, who also made Easy A (2010).
